![]() ![]() It sounds like you've made a lot of people happier with their mug. In any case, it's pretty awesome you made the app, so thank you. I hope you understand this is meant to be constructive feedback. It feels pointless having my Target Temperature so big, like it's the focal point, when I already know what it is.īecause of the above I think I'm going to stick with the official Ember app. The actual temperature is what I want to see when I open the app, so I believe it should be the biggest thing on my screen. I think the Target Temperature and actual temperature should swap sizes. It makes me not want to keep the app open, and I say this without exaggeration. I find it really ugly and it's kind of painful for me to look at. First off, I strongly dislike the orange color scheme when the app is open.I don't have much of a problem with the official app (unlike others, I hear), but I bought your app anyway. Hey, I absolutely love my Ember Mug and I've been using it multiple times every day for over a year. I am very open to feedback and feature requests. The firmware on the mug and the app version seem to be the latest ones available - 394/0 (firmware) and 3.5.12 app version. Please note the Ember is also fully functional without the Ember App and the temperature can be adjusted on the Travel Mug itself 1. I have a pixel 7, and previously used my pixel 4a5g. The following steps will walk you through pairing your new Ember to ensure a secure connection. The heater was not on at all, and at that point I gave up.īasically nothing makes sense. This morning the exact opposite happened - the mug was sitting there stone cold and I opened the app and it said it was at 122 degrees and heating to my preferred temp of 129 for coffee. Eventually by putting it in pairing mode I was able to "add a new device" again and then it showed the correct temp. Now I have some brand new issues - supposedly the mug is connected, but it comes up showing as "empty" when there is steaming hot coffee in it. So I did a full reset of the mug, and deleted the app and re-downloaded it. If you opened the app it would be unable to find the mug till you put it in pairing mode and set it up as a new device. It started with needing to re-pair the mug to the app basically every single time you used it. The issues I've had recently aren't even consistent. The mug itself still basically does what it is supposed to do, without the app - it will keep your drink hot, but good luck changing any settings. While I had app stability issues to begin with, over time they were worked out and it was rock solid.įast forward to now, and the mug/app interaction is actually the worst it has ever been. See his comment below for a link.Ībout my experience with using the Ember mug. Android only at the moment, but I believe he's working on an Iphone version too. A fellow redditor /u/LoneMarsRover has made a replacement app for the Ember mug! I've used it and highly recommend it over the official app which is so terrible. ![]()
